About Us

Dr. Shane R. Conrad DC, DAc, DACBSP®
Doctor of Chiropractic
Clinical Director – Spine and Sport Center

Dr. Conrad founded The Spine and Sport Center in 2005 after relocating to Colorado from Canada with his wife, Jocelyn. Over the last 15 years, Dr. Conrad has built a diverse skill set that allows him to effectively treat a wide array of problems and offer lasting results to his patients. Dr. Conrad holds several post-graduate specialties including diplomate status in Biomedical Acupuncture, Dry Needle Acupuncture, and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Conrad advocates for an integrated approach to injury care:

“The first step is a thorough examination to determine the unique factors that are affecting each patient. Then we combine traditional Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments with manual muscle work, physical rehabilitation, and acupuncture. This creates a level of improvement that is simply not possible with the singular therapy approach. Finally, we tweak your treatments to focus on what you are responding to best and eliminate the therapies you are not responding to. The goal is to help the body heal as quickly as possible; not to treat it ineffectively for months before making any changes.”

Dr. Conrad’s academic training and credentials can be viewed on his professional resume HERE.

Colleen Strickland

Colleen joined our team in 2016 and applies her extensive experience in customer service as our front office Chiropractic Assistant. Colleen’s goal is to make your experience as painless (pun intended) as possible. From verifying your benefits to scheduling appointments, Colleen’s got your back!

Colleen has been a Colorado resident since 1997 having moved from Las Vegas. She enjoys the slower pace of Colorado over the bright lights of Las Vegas. Yet the bright lights have followed her to Colorado Springs as she moonlights as a vocalist and Karaoke DJ.

A passionate animal lover, no one is more important to Colleen’s than her “Prince”… the ironic name she’s given to her Tennessee Walking Horse.

Becky Thompson

Becky joined the Spine and Sport Center staff in the summer of 2017. Becky brings a decade of administrative experience working in both Chiropractic and Orthodontic settings. Becky moved to Colorado in 1992 with her husband, and together they are the proud parents of two lovely daughters. As a family they enjoy everything the Colorado front range has to offer. They are avid hikers and frequently leave town on weekend excursions. On any given Sunday, Becky can be found Cheering on the L.A. Chargers and her favorite player Philip Rivers. On any given Monday, Becky can be found being made fun of by everyone for liking Philip Rivers. 🙂
